Generate Your Own Renewable Energy by
Installing a Solar PV System
Parity Solar, Inc. installs grid-tied solar PV systems to commercial and residential buildings. These systems generate electrical power during the day, drawing energy from the sun, which is then converted into electricity. What the building does not use is fed back into the electrical grid in what is referred to as net metering. The solar array on your rooftop or open ground space is generating clean solar power to run your appliances and heat your home without burning fossil fuels, which contribute to greenhouse gasses.
It’s Easy Being Green
Adding a solar array allows you to contribute to your community’s greening efforts by generating your own electricity. The cost of energy produced by burning fossil fuels is on the rise. Generating your own electricity can lock in your rates and reduce your dependence on foreign oil.
Installing Solar is a Good Investment
Adding a Solar PV system to your home or business is a smart investment. The return on investment is realized on your first utility bill. When you install a solar electric system, you increase the value of your home and its resale price.
Rebates, Tax Credits and Loans for Solar Power
Now is a great time to go solar! Now signed into law, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act provides billions in investments to increase the use of solar energy, promote energy efficiency, improve financing options and remove market barriers.
There are both federal and local incentives are available, such as:
- 30% Federal Tax Credit
- Xcel Energy's Solar Rewards program gives up to $3.50/watt for
systems up to 10kW. - Colorado State sales tax waiver
- Boulder County’s ClimateSmart™ Loan Program
Parity Solar performs an initial assessment of the site, taking into consideration the location of the structure, the amount of sun that will shine primarily onto the south facing area of the roof and any obstructions that may exist that may inhibit optimal sunlight from reaching the solar modules. Parity Solar then designs the system and calculates any government tax credits, or energy rebates and incentives available to the client. The system is then installed, tied to the grid and the paperwork for the credits, incentives and rebates is handled for the building owner.
